Andrea James, Founder and President
Andrea was a single mother for more than 20 years and has served as a role
model for many women. Her personal and professional experiences have
fostered a strong compassion for empowering single mothers. Currently, she
serves as the senior director of operations for a non-profit organization based in
Washington, DC. She has over two decades of experience in project management
and event planning within the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. She also holds a
B.S. in Business Administration from George Mason University and a M.S. in
General Administration from Central Michigan University. Andrea was born and
raised in Northern Virginia and currently resides in King George, VA with her
Donisha Freeman, Co-Founder and Vice President
Donisha enjoys mentoring young adults and motivational speaking, especially
targeting adolescents. She is an accomplished marketing manager and
volunteers her time and talents to assist organizations with graphic design and
branding projects. Donisha obtained her dual B.S. in Marketing and Graphic
Communication Systems from North Carolina A&T State University. She also
obtained her MBA in Business Administration from University of Phoenix. Donisha
currently resides in Charlotte, NC.
Ethel Freeman, Fashion Director
Ethel established the legacy for both Andrea and Donisha. She is their mother and
grandmother, respectively. She is retired and has over 40 years of experience in
the hospitality industry. Ethel attended Temple Business School and received a
certificate in keypunch. Most importantly, she is a faithful Christian and enjoys
worshipping and praising God. Ethel enjoys spending time with her family and is
happily married to her husband of over 45 years. She resides in Dale City, VA.
Michelle Bussie, Secretary/Treasurer
Michelle is an accounting professional and former owner of More Than Coffee!
Lounge, a Christian, woman-owned company. She served as a former executive
director of Big Sisters of the Washington Metropolitan Area for several years. Her
educational background is comprised of a M.S. in Management and a B.S. in
Accounting from Trinity College and Southeastern University, respectively. A native
Washingtonian and current resident of Raleigh, NC, Michelle is a product of the DC
Public School System. She has virtually spent her entire career of 26 years
working in the non-profit industry as an accounting professional. Michelle has two
